Sierra Soundtrack Classics

These digital song files are the highest quality obtainable from the original source material. In some cases, only monophonic recordings of digital soundtracks were available, and those at only 22 kHz. You'll also find many original MIDI sequences, encoded at various bitrates, recorded directly from the Roland MT-32 Sound Module and/or Roland Sound Canvas.

  • Jones In The Fast Lane
"Socket City Appliance Store" by Ken Allen. Arrangement by Tom Lewandowski. A somewhat re-worked version that adds brass, sax, scat, guitars, and enhanced percussion. Basically, a shortened, enhanced remix of the original MIDI song file. As performed on the Roland SC-8820.
  • King's Quest 3
    To Heir Is Human
"Introduction Theme" by Al Lowe and Tom Lewandowski. What? Where did this come from, you ask? Check out the Sierra Classics page and you'll find out.
  • King's Quest 3
    To Heir Is Human
"Closing Theme" by Al Lowe and Tom Lewandowski. Once I got started with this -- (a challenge from Marten, no less) -- I just didn't want to stop. Check out the Sierra Classics page for complete details, and for more AGI fun.
  • King's Quest 4
    The Perils Of Rosella
"Introduction" by William Goldstein. Recorded directly from the Roland MT-32.
  • King's Quest 4
    The Perils Of Rosella
"Finale" by William Goldstein. A Roland GS conversion of the original MT-32 version. The MT-32's synthetic sounding trumpets, guitars and soundtrack patches were replaced by the SC's sounds and, as usual, an orchestral percussion to give it a more symphonic feel. Enjoy!
  • King's Quest 5
Absence Makes The Heart Go Yonder
"The Town" by Mark Seibert. Complete with doggies and other things. (??) Obtained from the original Roland MT-32 sequence.
  • King's Quest 5
Absence Makes The Heart Go Yonder
"Weeping Willow" by Mark Seibert. I was unaware of this short digital song in KQ5. Thanks to Caliburn, for providing the original WAV, which has now been further enhanced with additional MT-32 tracks.
  • King's Quest 5
Absence Makes The Heart Go Yonder
"The Hermit" by Mark Seibert. It's fun to watch the Winamp display while this song plays. Recorded from the Roland GS version.
  • King's Quest 5
Absence Makes The Heart Go Yonder
"March Of The Ants" by Mark Seibert. Thanks to Caliburn, for providing the original WAV, which has now been further enhanced with additional MT-32 tracks.
  • King's Quest 5
Absence Makes The Heart Go Yonder
"Closing Medley" by Mark Seibert and company. All the major themes from the game, wrapped up in rather large MP3. Recorded from the original MT-32 soundtrack.
  • King's Quest 6 Complete Soundtrack
    Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow
  • King's Quest 6
    Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow
"Nightmare" by Chris Brayman. Updated and enhanced version! Somewhat of a re-arrangement of Braymans original score. Created using the Roland MT-32 and Sound Canvas SC-8820. This digital file requires a 48 kHz compatible sound card for playback.
  • King's Quest 6
    Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow
"Closing Scenes" by Chris Brayman. A Roland GS conversion of the original GM version. This was originally a very powerful theme, so I decided to see just how powerful I could make it.
  • King's Quest 7
    The Princeless Bride
"A Land Beyond Dreams" by Mark Seibert. The 'digital' version, as recorded from the game's introduction.
  • King's Quest 7
    The Princeless Bride
"Dragon's Flight" by Jay Usher. Sort of a 'beefed-up' version. After all, the song is only about a 15-measure loop, so I wanted to do something to make it last a bit longer. Arranged and recorded from the Roland SC-8820.
  • King's Quest 8
    Mask Of Eternity
"Sylph Theme" by Ben Houge. A beautiful piece peformed by Ben Houge (synth and samplers), Mark Seibert (guitars), and Margaret Lowe (tenor recorder.) It's so good to hear real instruments in Sierra's soundtracks! Obtained from Sierra's Web Team. More from this soundtrack is available at SierraPlanet.com..
