These digital song files are the highest quality obtainable from the original source material. In some cases, only monophonic recordings of digital soundtracks were available, and those at only 22 kHz. You'll also find many original MIDI sequences, encoded at various bitrates, recorded directly from the Roland MT-32 Sound Module and/or Roland Sound Canvas.

High Quality MP3 Version
Rise Of The Dragon
"Introduction" by Dan Latarski and Christopher Stevens. The music in this game just never caught on with me, but nonetheless...here's the Introduction as performed on the Roland MT-32.

Sierra Web Team
"Squirrel With The Power"  The Sierra Web Team often had a good time poking fun at their various Sierra creations. 'Squirrel' is a pumped-up remake of the famed, KQ6 "Girl In The Tower" theme.

Silpheed
Original Soundtrack

"Main Title Theme" by Game Arts. This is a fascinating piece, as heard before it was translated for the Roland MT-32. Thanks to John Cunney for providing this. There's a short slice in the recording as John had to record the song from a damaged cassette tape.

Silpheed
Original Soundtrack

"Fighting In Normal Space" by Game Arts. More original pretranslated Silpheed music from John Cunney. Again, recorded from a damaged cassette so the quality isn't up to par. But it's fascinating to hear the original arrangement nonetheless.

Sorcerian
"Introduction Theme" by Rob Atesalp and Ken Allen. Thanks to Stephen Smith for this contribution. From the TG-16 TurboGraphx CD -- a beautifully orchestrated version of Sorcerian's Introduction theme.

Sorcerian
"Music Guild Theme 48" by Rob Atesalp and Ken Allen. A greatly enhanced General MIDI conversion of the original MT-32 sequence as played on the Roland Sound Canvas. This theme really grabbed me for some reason.

Sorcerian
"Music Guild Theme 52" by Rob Atesalp and Ken Allen. Another enhanced General MIDI conversion of the original MT-32 sequence as played on the Roland Sound Canvas. I'd have to say this is my favorite from the game -- in its enhanced GM configuration.

Space Quest 1
Roger Wilco In The Sarien Encounter
"The Rocket Bar" by Ken Allen. A combination of MT-32 and Sound Canvas tracks make up this 'semi-converted' soundtrack. I slapped on a little ending drum fill as well; the song didn't know where to end!

Space Quest 3
The Pirates Of Pestulon

"Main Title Theme" by Bob Siebenberg. By request, the Roland GS version of the above theme. Keep in mind the limitations in instrumentation when you listen to this version; the MT-32 uses several custom sounds not included with GS, but one translates with what's available.
