I'd like to have some more Roland ED Midi files. Would be nice to get a whole sound track for Roland ED, e.g. Gabriel Knight I. I really like the one and only ED Version of the Freddy Parkas Soundtrack. I also love the Whitey midi File from Code Name Iceman. Hope there will be more ED version of the original Sierra GM files.

GK doesn't sound that brilliant in ED overall, in my opinion. For the soundtrack CD I'm creating, there's about 6 or so ED OGG tracks, but other than that just the odd choir from ED is used.
I recorded an ED version of 'Whitney', (or 'The Chi Chi Bar Theme #2' as it might be better known) not so long ago.. I'd better update and upload it.
I've got squillions of ED files on my hard disk, but noone has shown any interest, so they stay here, I guess!

Yeah, I know that Honda. I'm hardly likely to record every ED file digitally for the same reason Ari Stone wouldn't do it for XG. A lot of time and space needed. That said, however, if someone requested an ED file as MIDI or a digital file of an ED MIDI then that would be different. That's what I'm here for, after all.. - Alistair P.S. Main enjoyment I get out of using ED is as a 'flanker' module. I generally don't like ED for converting Sierra soundtracks on it's own. I vastly prefer it to provide additional or enhancement tracks, especially with the Roland MT-32, which is where I believe its' real potential for this kind of work is. Best example I can give; 'Monochrome Bikers' from the QuestStudios SQ4 soundtrack CD.

- Alistair Hi Alistair, would be nice if you could share the midis with me. A month ago I helped you out with the SC8850 Manual (in German). Hope you remember. Why don't you upload some midis on the page? (Unfortuneately I had to change my user name cause I've forgotten the password.) I'm really interested in more ED files.

I can't enter the Roland ED section any more. Is there an error??? Another question about the ED file from Freddy Parkas. Does the Midi file contain any error? Isn't Part8 intented to be a flute? I get an error message on the SC8850 display, which tells me that there is no instrument definition on Part8. Am I right??? Maybe you can help me ALISTAIR.

Never played Freddy, and I don't run the site.. Would guess it's being updated in terms of the webpage, though. A month ago I helped you out with the SC8850 Manual (in German). Hope you remember. Why don't you upload some midis on the page? Certainly I remember. Still haven't got around to fixing that manual up, been busy. Upload MIDI's to what page, exactly? - Alistair

For some reason, some versions of I.E. wouldn't display the page. I've reuploaded it -- see if it works for you, now. --------- EDIT ------------------------ "Sweet Penelope" is also fixed. Yes, channel 8 was supposed to be a flute. (It's on channel 4, now.)

It should be fixed, now. For some reason, some versions of I.E. wouldn't display the page. I've reuploaded it -- see if it works for you, now. I use the new SP2 Pack for WindowsXP now. Maybe thats the reason. But now it works. Thanks so much Tom. "Sweet Penelope" is also fixed. Yes, channel 8 was supposed to be a flute. (It's on channel 4, now.) Thanks again. And thanks to Vanbasco's Midi Player which told me that the part was intented to be a Flute (Variation 002=Flute Exp.)
