Hey everyone,

After an IRC conversation on Tuesday morning with Tom Lewandowski we got to talking about Leisure Suit Larry 3's music, as any Sierra music fan does Wink . Again the old question came up.. 'Whatever happened to Mike Dana, the composer for LSL3 who vanished without a trace?'

Being an inquisitive type, and sick of the endless question being asked but seemingly no answer to it (and never having had any luck finding one before) after Tom left IRC I did some research. And after making some email inquiries and various searches, I found our Mike Dana! I'll be updating my website with the find sometime soonish, like maybe this weekend, and will post more details here later this week, as they come in. (And as I have time.)

Regards!

How's this...

Mike Dana is Music Department chair and Director of Jazz Studies at Fresno City College. He holds a Master's degree in music (composition) and is a well-established composer and arranger (published by Matrix Music), producer, and studio musician. His production company, Mike Dana Music, has produced music for hundreds of TV and radio commercials, local and national. Mike has been on staff at Northwest since the early 1980s (with a couple of breaks during that time).

Too bad Mike's portfolio doesn't include his stints in the past as a computer game music composer. Ah well...

I'm not even sure that's the same Mike Dana...  I simply did a Google search for him and found this.

Yep, Tom's got it. Smiley Obviously he was much easier to track down than anyone guessed, but as I said, noone ever bothered to look- and I love investigating this stuff.

Anyways. I might concoct an interview with the guy and ask some questions. Got some juicy ones, too.. this guy I spoke to who apparently resigned from Dana's department had some positively awful things to say about him! Called him a hack and bankrupt of talent, for two things.. Check out his (Dana's) new pieces, Tom, and tell me what ya think..

Should such an interview go ahead, anyone got any questions to add to the list?
