Someone is selling a used Roland SC-8820 but it only comes
was the module and power supply, nothing else.

Did anybody purchase did module retail?  What does it come
with?  Is it possible for anybody to scan all the Manuals and
documentation and burn me a copy on CD  all the software
and sound samples that came with this unit?

I am willing to pay a small fee for postage and your effort?

I know you can attach a USB or Serial cable to the unit. (i have a PC)
Can I go into any computer store and buy the actual USB and Serial
Cables I need? (The serial cable looks proprietary so I am not
sure you can easily buy this)

Regards

The 8820 comes with a serial and USB cable, both available at any computer store, and a quite hefty owner's manual.  The CD-ROM contains the serial and USB drivers, though you should be able to download those, along with the contents of the manual, from Edirol's or Roland's websites.  In fact, a quick Google search found the drivers at:

Sorry I have only been able to find the drivers for this module
on the Edirol website..

No manual in PDF  or any applications from the CDROM could be found.

I think they must be copyrighted material.  Sad

It's too bad.. Without a front panel LED indicator, it will be
hard to operate this device.

I only have the manual as PDF in German, French ,Spanish or Italian, but not in English.
GS Advanced Editor comes with the module as software.

The 8820 would be hard to operate.. which is why I didn't get one. 8850 is so, so easy to figure out with all its' various buttons.
