ever since I have upgraded my system to windows XP I'm having a problem with the software called multiplayer. the multiplayer software is a software that was built to play the complete soundtrack midi files from the queststudios web site. if anyone has this problem ,or even better, has a solution for it please let me know.

I've definitely heard about this problem before, and experienced it for myself. Very annoying..

As far as I remember, MP hangs on tracks, and especially when you click to load a specific part of a TXT tracksheet it will delay and then cutoff the first measure or so or the individual MIDI in the soundtrack MIDI.

The reason? I think it has to do with XP and fast operating systems.. Horton designed this proggie for use under Win 95. Times have changed since then.. I suppose noone's ever asked the guy for a new version.

Hey, this looks Australian! Great. Another fine contribution to the community from the Land Down Under. Cheesy

I'm gonna send this guy an email tomorrow.. I'll let ya know if anything transpires.

But IMO, WinAmp is a good player for complete soundtrack MIDI's.. if you have the track sheet you can tell what place to move the slider to if you're after a specific track, for example.

Thank you Alistair.

This is indeed my problem exactly.
Do you really have the Email address of Michael Horton?

I hope we have started something here in the direction of a working version of the software.

BTW I'm from Israel not Australia.

I was referring to the MultiPlayer program. It was made by Aussies, like myself. Smiley

I only got his email from the program itself ('About' button), and sent him an email.. but since this dates back at least 6 years, I seriously doubt I'll get a reply! The website mentioned with the email addy is now non-existent. I'll keep investigating and let ya know..
