My MT-32 isn't working - please help

Hi,
I purchased my MT-32 on Ebay. Perhaps the unit will not work in the configuration that I bought it for. I have an Edriol PCRA30 keyboard with an audio interface. I was hoping that the MT-32 would be an external synth for that keyboard so that I could play without a computer.
I connected the MIDI OUT of the keyboard to the MIDI IN of the MT-32 and expected to be able to play the keyboard and hear the sound on the amplified speakers that are connected to the OUTPUT of the MT-32. I get no sound and the "MIDI MESSAGE Indicator" on the MT-32 doesn't blink or light.
I connected a casio CTK-611 keyboard to the MT-32. (The keyboard and the MIDI cable are both good because I had just used them to input MIDI to a SONAR file.) Still no sound from the MT-32. The "MIDI MESSAGE Indicator" flashes "ON" for a second when power is applied to the keyboard but nothing after that.
Any help or advice?
Thanks,
terry

Check the configuration of the keyboard. The MT-32 does not use MIDI channel 1, so you need to set your keyboard to use a channel from 2 to 9. If you want to play with the percussion sounds, you need to use channel 10.
I've noticed that some keyboards also need to have MIDI out turned on, but you've probably done that already.

Zemus,
How great you are.
I changed the keyboard MIDI channel from "channel 1" to "channel 2" and the MT-32 works now.
Thak you very much!
