    How can anyone not like QFG4's soundtrack?   Shocked

I know, I know... everyone has different taste in music.  QFG4 is my favourite.  If we were all the same life would be boring.

It's not so much that Tom doesn't like it, rather that he hates it- it's my favourite Sierra score!!

I already have (with the help of NavyNuke's AGS Jukebox)! Made sure to get ever tune, too. If you like I can hook you up!

<laughes> But weren't the 'in-game' OGG's low(er) quality? Or am I confusing with the upcoming QFG2VGA?

I am really looking forward to the day that QFG2VGA comes out.  Not just for the game, but for the music as well.  I just know it's going to kick butt, I can't wait!

That will certainly be an exciting day indeed!  I remember seeing how many downloads KQ2VGA had in the first few weeks and it was phenomonal.

Will be interesting to see QFG2VGA possibly top that - *sigh* long live Sierra's SCI-style adventures!

i am no expert when it comes to sierra music, only recently have i started listening to it seriously. however as it stands, i beleive that gabriel knight 3 and QFGV have the best scores. as a filmmaker i appreciate the cinematic feel these two have. they set the moods perfectly and to this day, when i hear that theme from gabriel knight it gives me chills.

infact this is why i encorperated the gk3 score into my latest film. holmes and henry did a superb job.

My favorites:

1) Eco Quest 1
2) Quest for Glory 4
3) Space Quest 4

I'm hoping that the digital recording for Eco Quest 2 will be released. I like music from there as well.

1. Laura Bow II: The Dagger of Amon Ra
2. King's Quest VI: To Heir is Human
3. Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire

It's just by pure chance that all three of my favorites are Chris Brayman's, but what can I say? His were always done so well...

Yep, now that my new equipment is all set up, I'll be working on it this week (it's mostly done).

This isn't a fair assessment of Sierra soundtracks, since your two favorites are digital scores performed with real orchestras.  You can't really compare that to a MIDI soundtrack, as was used in most Sierra games.

But even so, that doesn't say anything about the quality of the compositions; only the overall sound quality of the score.  I believe between Chris Brayman and Mark Seibert, Sierra has produced much better music than just what's heard in these two games.  In fact, I feel Robert Holmes did a better job with his first Gabriel Knight score...in terms of writing.
