I would love to get my hands on a digital soundtrack of this.  I remember playing the game and absolutely loving the music.  Anyone know where it stands?

Me too!  That's one I plan to do in the coming months and I'm looking forward to it.

Well; before Tom records it- (which I can't personally wait for either!) there's a sorta poor digital quality MT-32 recorded soundtrack online somewhere. But someone else can enlighten you as to that.

Mm, yes, can't wait. Cheesy
On a similar note; I finished recording the Conquests of Camelot Roland MT-32 MIDI's. Need to edit and compile it, and then I'll give it to Tom, if he'd like to post it on this site.

Maybe Camelot/Longbow could make a double 'Conquests' CD? Especially because there's over 80 minutes of Longbow music.. Just a thought.

I uploaded the entire soundtrack in OGG Vorbis format to DrJ's FTP a long time ago. It was recorded from the MT-32 MIDIs with no re-arrangements of any kind.

How do I get those Ogg's -- I'll create a page and host them here, too.

I think DrJ still has them. I do have them on a CD somewhere, but I'd have to look for it after easter, Tuesday at the earliest. If I find them, I could send them to you myself.

Well, if you've got OGG files at reasonable quality, and a reasonable volume, and 44.1 KHz, you've got my vote ahead of the existing tracks..

Jan has been uploading the Robin Hood files to my server, so I'll work on creating a new web page for them.  Thanks Zemus and Jan!

They were all recorded at 48kHz and I ran them through some minor noise reduction. The reason why I use 48kHz is that the noise reduction is more effective on higher sample frequencies. Also, the ADCs in the Live and Audigy cards sample everything at 48kHz so if you use another sampling frequency when recording, the card will convert to that frequency and the quality drops.

They sound excellent!  I've been listening to them as Jan has uploaded them.  Looks like a VBR encoding of 4 or 5?

I'm glad they sound good. It's been ages since I've listened to them. I believe they were encoded at 5.5 which gives a nominal bitrate of 176kbps if I remember correctly. Most of the songs had an average bitrate of 140-150kbps so I don't think it would get that much better if I used a higher VBR.

It seems that there is no need of mine, cause Zemus has uploaded his one, isn't it? If not or if it is still needed, I am ready to partecipate Smiley

Apparently, I do have a problem with one of the Robin Hood Ogg files:  Song 15:  Lobb

If someone could email me this track, I'd appreciate it....

What exactly is the problem? I have all of them on a CD which I should be able to get my hands on later today.

I think it may have got corrupted in the transfer to or from my server.  The file doesn't load into WinAmp, and CoolEdit shows no audio data.  Probably the header is corrupted.

Yeah, I thought that one would cause problems (my computer started doing weird things at that point). I'll send it over.
