Hello,

on the Quest Studios main page there is a link to a tutorial called "History of PC sound cards", which includes a MT-32 sound sample taken from the DOS game "Descent".

However, Descent does not support the MT-32 natively, but there seems to be some kind of patch. Does anybody no more about this? Or does anybody have the patch?

There is a patch here in QS that can enable the MT-32 to emulate GM. It's a small file and is pretty easy to execute, you can download it here: http://www.queststudios.com/roland/utilities.html

Yes, I know that one, but that the MT32 GM emulation never sounded quite right to me. I am still searching for the original Descent patch.
