Hi All,

Does anyone here own or know much about the XV-3080 module?

Hi!

The XV-3080 is an excellent module, and a fairly recent one (they came out in year 2000, if I'm not wrong). XV series are the predecessors of Fantom series of synths, and they actually share most part of the synthesis technology. The only difference is that Fantoms have updated patches, more sample rom and some enhancements in effects section. But in fact, the 3080 is a little big beast, with 64 mb rom, 128-voice polyphony, more than 1000 high-quality patches, a good effects section, excellent DACs and outputs, and six expansion slots. A really professional machine. If the price is fair, I wouldn't doubt getting one, unless you want a Fantom XR (like mine Tongue )
