Shad0wfax has re-worked the Fantom's LSL3 digital files, and the old Fantom tracks have now been replaced with the new.

I can just say WOW! I think shad0wfax is really good in composing and arranging songs.
The differences between the old and new version are some instrument changes (e.g. LSL3_10.mp3), but many files remained the same, right?
I hope he has time to arrange some othere sierra soundtrack on his FantomX. That would be great.

Yeah, I'd really like to hear GK1-Sins of the Fathers rendered on the Fantom XR. That would really make our day indeed. Cool

Well, actually it's not a new version of the soundtrack, strictly speaking, but a new recording with some minor changes. I've tried to correct some volume issues (instruments sounding too weak/too loud, more homogeneous volume levels, etc.), and I've changed some instruments here and there. It's been all re-recorded using my new Audigy 2 soundcard, so the noise level is lower and the overall audio quality a bit better. But that's all.

By the way, it's been quite a hard work to do the adaptation of the soundtrack, and honestly I don't like the idea of making more adaptations of entire soundtracks. But I could make adaptations of single tracks, if there is enough interest and I have free time.

There most definitely is!

(To admin:Uh, this was posted as new topic, how did it end up in this thread?)

Hi,

I'm a newb in terms of all these soft synth and midi devices go, just like listening to midi's and playing games with them in it.

Currently i was using s-yxg100 soft synth which really is a huge improvement over the default one that is my on-board sound for several years.  I know that it was the best one a while back has there been any soft synth to eclipse it recently for just good ol' fashion listening to midi files.

thanks.
