Ever since I updated this forum to phpBB v2.0.15, Firefox doesn't want to automatically log me in. The User Name and Password are filled in, but I have to physically log in -- instead of already being logged in when the php index page loads. I.E. v6.0.28 isn't having that problem. Anybody else having that problem? I've cleared my cache, tried disabling the "Log me in automatically..." button and then enabling it, but Firefox is still insisting I phycially log in each time.

Well, I can tell that Opera's working just fine so you could always switch to that.

I'm using FireFox... I usually get the login page, but with the name and password already filled in for me, so I just click on through. I hadn't really thought about it, but I might be seeing the same problem. If so, it would probably be related to firefox not storing a needed cookie for identification. Eh, it isn't very important to me. I don't mind clicking to login. Although if you find a solution, let me know...

I also use Firefox 1.04. I don't have problems to log in, I get logged in automatically. Don't know why it doesn't work for you. (I also use Firetune)

1.0.4 works for me, too.... I have noticed that problem before with other BBs, but I don't know what causes it.

Log in in general or just the administration panel? It's intended behaviour as far as the admin panel goes.

No, I'm referring to the login in general. As Martin described, when I come to queststudios.com/forum/index.php, the login page appears -- my name and password are already filled in, but I have to click the Login button.
v2.0.15 also introduced a confirmatory method of logging into the Administrative Panel -- you have to re-enter your login/password. Funny -- on THAT login, Firefox also has the login/password automatically filled in, but again, I have to press the login button -- just like on the main index page. Firefox seems to defeat the purpose of this second login confirmation. In IE, I have to re-enter the info.
This never happened for me until I updated phpBB to this latest version, earlier this month. And it doesn't happen with IE.

Have you tried clearing the "Saved Passwords" and re-entering the one for the message boards? I'm wondering if that will help fix it.

That doesn't seem to help. It just starts the process over again, with the same problem occurring when I re-visit the forum.

OK...
At home on my laptop, when I connect to the forum, it seems to log me in automatically.
Here at my workplace, it doesn't seem to log me in automatically. At the bottom of the main page was an option to log in with the "automatic login" box checked. So I logged in, closed my browser, launched my browser, and returned... and there it was, waiting again for me to click 'login' again.
I'll have to experiment some other time.

What's also strange is, this login problem doesn't happen on other phpBB v2.0.15 boards I go to using Firefox.

My guess is that it's related to the cookies.
