I ripped all the music files I could locate in the Resource.sfx file on the CD, but it's been a pain to stitch them together. (Quite a few of the songs in-game are a mix of music and sound effects, which are all stored separately in the Resource file.)

EDIT: I've uploaded a zip into this directory in my site:
http://www.dimensionalarea.net/portal/shivers

Note, that type of server can only take one connection at a time, so if you try to download from it and it's not working, try again at a later time.

The zip is 23.5 MB. The numbering I used in the filenames is 'beta'; for some reason I felt like numbering the tracks. I restarted the game in order to fine-tune the list, check the placement of tracks, and so on, but I lost that game in a harddrive crash. Which is partially why I haven't finished the soundtrack. ^^;

Before anyone mentions.. yes, I /do/ know it sounds slightly different in-game. I don't know why. It's not that much of a difference, anyway.

Um, enjoy. n.n;

Talec, you are my hero!

I must congratulate you for giving me access to music from one of my favorite games of all time!

My only complaints are below:

*The "Title Sequence" is missing the high pitched instrumentals, making it sound absolutely horrid.

*The "Puzzle Room" theme is missing the guy screaming out "Let me out of heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee a-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Besides that, you did a phenomenal job!
A nice round of applause for you.

Hopefully you'll be able to fix the "Title Sequence" track and getting the "Man's Inhumanity to Man" track.

Keep up the good work.   Cheesy

Title Sequence- I don't remember the high-pitched instruments, to be honest. ^^;; Sorry, will have to check after I reinstall the game. But they weren't in the same file as the .aud I grabbed, so I'll have to dig in the Resource.SFX to find it.

Puzzle Room- hence why it's called '[No SFX version]'. Wink I haven't yet listened to the song in-game enough times to get the voice-clip's timing down. (I haven't yet understood how to use in-game audio grabbing, and the music file and the voice-clip are stored separately in Resource.sfx.)

Thanks. ^^ It's one of my favorite games as well.

For the title sequence, the high pitched instrumental part of the Title Sequence has a a synth-like sound to it.

I figured that you would say that those voices part of the Puzzle Room would be excluded from a No SFX Version but it surprised me because you have some of the other voices in the No SFX Version.  But anyway, I hope you get a version with all the voices soon.  It's just not the Puzzle Room without it.   Cheesy

I really wish they would make a Shivers III but set it in another location similar to Windelnot's museum because those kind of locations just give the game this mesmerizing, fantastic, and slightly surreal feel.  Not to say Shivers II was bad but the story seemed to be lacking somewhere, not to mention the setting wasn't completely appealing.
