I can't find it anywhere on ebay right now. Just wondering if there are other such sites where I can get a hold of it. I don't have the money right now anyway and it'll probably show up on ebay again down the road. Just wondering. I'm very intrigued about this module. And I'm sick of only just over 300 sonuds on my MT-200  .

300 sounds huh? Blech.

Then again, you tell me where you'll find a use for instruments like 'CD Tray'

You'll need to follow Ebay daily, and look outside Canada's (ebay.ca) site, otherwise you might be cutting off your search options.

I got my 8850 by chance- asked this Ebay SC-55 mk II salesman about that product, and he told me it'd be wiser going for ED. Expensive, but worth it.

Yes, that's what I'm doing. I'm going to ebay.ca but searching worldwide so I can see the prices in CAD. But is there anywhere else other than ebay where the 8850 might be sold?

I tried that.  Noone sells the old models unless there's an old model sitting on a forgotten clearance shelf.

I'd love an SC-88, 88Pro or 8850 myself.
SD-80 is too @$%^ expensive.

You can either be patient on Ebay, or not.

Goodness knows how long I waited..

I'm patiently waiting for the SD-80 to go down to the $200 USD range.  It'll be a long wait though.

You might want to look into buying from a Japanese auction site - they cost much less there. Your best bets are http://www.auction.co.jp, http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp, http://www.bidders.co.jp or http://furima.rakuten.co.jp. You'll have to use a bidding service like Celga or Rinkya, but the difference in price is usually more than enough to make up for the cost of the bidding service.

Thanks for the advice. I completely forgot about the Japanese auctions!   I used to use Yahoo! Auctions a long time ago as a cheaper alternative of getting game soundtracks.  Can you imagine how painful it was trying to set up an account when I had no idea Babelfish could translate Japanese into Engrish?

Could you give me some details about Japanese-to-English web translation? I would like to take a look at the japanese pages, but I simply cannot understand anything! Sad

shad0wfax, Babel Fish Translation url is: http://babelfish.altavista.com

You can either translate a block of text or provide it a URL to a web page.  Japanese to English translation can be pretty rough so expect some "all your base are belong to us" kind of sentences. Smiley
