Hi, thought it might be neat to see if anyone else in the forum has or uses the Phat.Boy MIDI performance controller (either rev1 or rev2)?  It's supposed to allow you to change various parameters of MIDI in real time, including allowing enhancing of the default settings for Vibrato, Reverb, Chorus, Attack, Sustain, Decay, and others.  I recently obtained one (rev1) and am very pleased with it -- actually can't imagine going back to before having it, since the improved sound really seems to make a difference.  I can also hook it up to a CM-500 [Edited: and other SC-series synths, but not sure if it works on the MT-32 CM-series models] and still be able to change parameters like I would be able to say as with the sliders on an SC-155.

I'd looked into getting one of these for XG use a couple of years ago; it seemed like it might make a pretty good fit.

I don't recall if the PB encoders are assignable or not, but, if so, you shouldn't have any trouble using them for LA synth parameters, "caramon4." Wink
