The problem with offering it for sale is that, inevitably, someone with gotta-have-it-compulsive-disorder will end up with it, and, just as you never used them, neither will they.

So, rather than interest those who would naturally be interested, why not share what you enjoy with someone close to you? Family, friends? I haven't quite convinced my dad to let me set him up with an elite, oldskool gaming system, but I do have a brother-in-law that I know would get a kick out of one of the CM-500s I'm not using. I'm sure you know the type - someone who thinks that Monkey Island with the PC beeper is great music.

It's infinitely more rewarding than simply selling something. (Just make sure you get the stuff back if they ever decide the PC needs to go!)

Probably the best way to do it is to list items you want as trade - along the same lines as great hierophant's thread.

Shouldn't a scc-1 with the extra patches be labelled scc-1a?

When I buy classic hardware, it's not gonna end up in dusty place. Old stuff like that is often much too expensive for me to only own or collect it. I am using most of my old hardware in my gaming machine. Despite this fact, I really enjoy collecting and displaying extras like manuals and boxes in mint condition, when I get the chance to get a hold of them.
