I've just been playing around with a MIDI controller trying to change different settings with my CM-32L and my SC-55 ST as I play, or as some game midi music is being played. I've been using the MPU as a MIDI merge and it seems to work. While I had some success with the CM-32L, I can not modify anything with the SC-55 ST. I know what the change control numbers for the SC-55 are, but I'm unable to change even the volume (CC#7). Does anybody know if there's some particular reason for this o how can I make it work? I'm using an Evolution UC-33e MIDI controller, and, well, I really don't know exactly or deeply how MIDI works or anything, so a simple answer would be more appreciated than a technical one (I actually use that controller for stage video and lights, not for music, so I'm a little lost). Thanks.

If you're modifying the SC-55ST before you load the game, then what might be happening is that the Sierra game is sending a GM reset message to your device and undoing all your work Smiley

This can be avoided by turning the module off and when the Sierra logo comes on, boot it on.

Thanks Alistair, although I tried it and I still can't modify anything. I will have to look into this more deeply and experiment a little bit, maybe the MPU is not a good merge unit (though it worked for the CM-32L)?  Huh Whatever...
