I don't know if you're actively working on these, but I would love to hear more AGI classic themes.

For instance:

1. The genie theme from KQII

2. The house cleaning theme from KQIV

3. Graveyard theme from KQIV...to name a few.

Some of these pieces might be short and repetitive, but they still warrant some digital love.

On a completely unrelated topic, one of my favorite musical numbers from Willy Beamish was the babysitter theme.  You know, the theme that plays while you're running around the house trying to suck up that bat in the vacuum cleaner.  It's not included in the current QS soundtrack.  If you have the time, I would dearly love to hear it again.

Hey Aaron,

I did the WB soundtrack, and looking in the text file that accompanies the MIDI file, I see this:
39. The Babysitter From Hell                         1636  01:05:19

I presume that's the track you're looking for? From memory, it even has the vacuum sound effects Smiley

If you want to discuss this soundtrack further, or ask further questions, please feel free to do so at my message board or contact me via other methods Smiley

I second the request for AGI themes, let's add that to Tom's already approaching mother of a workload Wink

I have a KQ4 soundtrack I got from somewhere, it's not a Tom or Alistair production, I can't remember who did it Sad but i'd be glad to share it.

Nice Alistair!  I didn't realize there was a full MIDI file for that game.

It sounds a bit different than the 8-bit Soundblaster memories I have, but it's still cool.

Perhaps after I finish the QFGII remix, I'll do that one next.

doctor- I'd be glad to listen to it.  Just post a link, or message me.

There is still one KQ track that needs to be digitizied - the ORIGINAL (not Greensleaves) intro to KQ1.

Wrong. That's been done in KQ1VGA. Push the Credits button in the intro.

Al Lowe's Greensleeves wasn't the original intro for KQ1?

Are we talking about the PC Jr box with the picture of the knight on the cover (as opposed to kneeling Graham)?

Interesting.

I can't remember who did it Sad b

Yours truly. Grin

Really, Ignacio Ferreyra, unofficial (and seldom) Queststudios collaborator. I also created covers for that soundtrack, in case you are interested.

That would be nice, thanks!  Good work too, one of my common plays when I'm in the Sierra mood.

Glad you liked it. It's a very underrated score, since it's very short and doesn't use the MT32 capabilities as good as possible, but for many of us this is one of the very first soundtracks ever, so the nostalgia factor plays a major role, I think.

Covers:

BTW, these are, mmhh, erhh, well, "Queststudios" covers (I was hoping Tom would accept this soundtrack. He hasn't yet, but maybe he will now that he's rebuilding the whole site, who knows?  Huh).

Tom, if you don't want me to distribute these covers (which have the QS logo at the back, even if the soundtrack is not hosted by QS) just tell me so and I'll erase them. It's just that I'm too busy (or lazy) to make another cover right now.

Thanks for posting the KQ4 soundtrack! That's the very first adventure game I ever played, when I was four or five. Of course, I was really just watching my mom and dad play, but KQ4 burned itself into my memory bank ( as many things from that age do). I realize many have the same nostalgic sentiments for adventure games, and I can safely say they're one of the best things about my childhood!

I'm still not sure what 'covers' you're refering to.  What's with this "Rapid Share"?  Talk about a pain-in-the-butt!  Wouldn't it be easier to use any number of other free web hosting services that don't make visitors jump through hoops to download a file.

But anyway (sorry I missed this post), like my music files, as long as proper credit is given, and things aren't altered, then no I don't mind.
