Ok... For those who doesn't know anything about the ATI Stereo F/X ... it's basically similar in functionality compare to Sound Blaster 1.5 ... with two empty socket for the SAA 1099 upgrade. Harder to find compare to Sound Blaster 1.5 ... I got one but without the driver... can't do much with it.

This may sound dumb, but do the Sound Blaster drivers work?  Does it function as a Sound Blaster when you select it in games?

If it's SB compatible all you need to do is to use the SET BLASTER enviroment.

It has a few extra abilities compared to the Sound Blaster from what I read.  It offers a midi interface that is either additional to or supercedes the Sound Blaster's.  It has a software master volume control.  It also stores its settings in EEPROM, so the drivers are necessary to configure the card.

Yup. The Great Hierophant is really great. For those who tried ATI product sure knows this. All the settings can only be access via the install.exe found on the original installation diskette.

So nobody can help by providing the driver?   Sad

Thanks to a VOGONS post, here is where I started:

http://web.archive.org/web/20010331045332/support.ati.com/products/pc/soundcards/soundcards.html

And here is where I was able to find the drivers mentioned on the archived driver page:

http://yournewdriver.com/drivers/ati/sound/sfxutl.zip

It isn't alot, but hopefully it will allow your sound card to work.

Thanks Great Hierophant.

I actually got that ... looking for the more beef up version of the original installation diskette set in 4 x 360kB. Since I know it exists.

But your link got more info than the one I found last time. Great link!
