I installed SPG on my 486 and it works swimmingly with my AWE32 and my 3 different MIDI ports. I'm using a Music Quest PC MIDI card for MPU, the FM portion and the wavetable portion. But when I plug my controller into the input of my Music Quest card SPG seems not to detect it. I'm not sure why it's not working. Is there any way I can fix this? Is there something I'm missing?

How do you know it's not detected?  Do you have MIDI THRU turned ON in SpG?  (SHIFT-F9)  With my setup, I can't input my controllers until MIDI THRU is turned ON.   Make sure the PORT and CHANNEL setting are correct for the controller's location.  That is, if you're using your MQ interface on PORT 2, and transmitting on Channel ... 3 ... make sure SpG is set accordingly.  Most controllers transmit on Channel 1 by default, though.  We use more than one controller, so the defaults get changed.

Thank you! That was it. I enabled MIDI Thru and it worked for the wavetable and FM portion but at first it wouldn't work with the Music Quest but I enabled rechannelization and it works perfectly for all three now. Thank you.

Yippiee!  Glad to hear that the MIDI THRU function did the trick.  I didn't know you were using SpG ... you ole' DOS-junkie, you!  Smiley

Well my wife is on my main computer a lot more now and so I figured since I have a whole extra 486 computer sitting there I might as well use it for music when I need to.

I love DOS.
