Finally I have managed to get an AdLib Gold 1000 (boxed with driver disks but no manual unfortunately).
Now all I need is that reverb add-on board for it, so who wants to get rid of that?

I used to run it's audio output through my SW60XG's line-in, which for some reason added reverb to it. OPL with reverb actually sounds pretty good.  Smiley

BTW, if you get a chance, I'd love to hear some Dune II recordings of it.

I didn't realise Dune II supported the AdLib Gold Shocked

It's a pity the AdLib Gold didn't win over the SoundBlaster....  I'd have liked to see THEM be the world standard that SoundBlaster universally became.  [sigh]

I installed the card in one of my systems (next to a GUS Ace & SCC-1) but it wasn't very stable. Every now and then when I was playing those RL2 files it just hung up my system. Have to test it in an older system as stand-alone card later.
Anyway, although Dune II claims support for Adlib Gold in the selection list of soundcards there is absolutely no difference in music as one would choose regular Adlib.
Still have to try Dune but that game wouldn't run at all on that particular system.
