I got a GP2X WIZ yesterday. It can be overclocked to 800 MHZ. The Picodrive Sega Genesis emulator and Mame are already working fine on it. I wonder how well Dosbox will perform on it. It should do better than the PSP port, which was basically unusably slow.

Sorry, I've forgotten about this post.
The OLED display of the Wiz is excellent. Sega Genesis emulation is always at full speed, SegaCD works pretty good too. SNES emulation is 60fps for most games. Mame is great for some arcade games. Amiga emulation is surprisingly good. DosBox sucks, I'm afraid, it's a crappy port obviously.

I know a couple people who have one and use it for LittleGPTracker ... From what I've heard, you can make some great music with it.

I think you're talking about the old GP2X device. The Wiz is a new, faster and smaller handheld device. There is no GPTracker for the Wiz yet.

I owned a GP2X once, but was nerver really satisfied with it, because of its lack of raw CPU power. Genesis emulation was ok, but SNES wasn't acceptable for me. Then the F100 version which I bought had a crappy analog stick, which was actually digital (just makes no sense at all). The new Wiz version seems to have a faster CPU. On the other hand I am hearing that it has serious problems with screen tearing. It somehow uses some unconventional display technique where the screen is drawn from left to right as opposed to top-down as all the emulated systems do. Also, I read it can only support up to 30 hz screen modes. This is all very awkward to me. To sum up, the Wiz is prone to screen tearing (represented as a diagonal line), which doesn't seem to be a limitation of the MagicEyes chipset it is based on, as the datasheet says it can support up to 1280x1024@60 hz. All very strange...

The diagonal line has been eliminated in Mame and Picodrive (Genesis emulator), but does appear in most others. SNES emulation is 60fps in most games, but sets frame skipping to "1" in a few, like Super Turrican.
The CPU normally runs at 533MHZ, and can be overclocked to 800MHZ, but does not seem that powerful.
I'm convinced that it's capable of displaying at 60hz, because frame skipping set to "1" appears a great deal less smooth.
I image the Pandora will be better, if it ever gets released...
