midi device with remote control for tempo?

Hello, I am looking for a midi module, ANY midi module (as long as it's cheap) that can allow me to change a songs tempo or switch to a different song, or make it quieter or loader, preferably a remote controll that can attach to a play station 3 controller? Basically, i want to create video game moves with music from the game turned off and replaced by original music made by myself or others, and i want it to feel dynamic. Sure there will be at most 5 seconds delay from song to song but still. Anything like that, or do i have to make a homemade synth with a feature like that?

There are some SC units that include a remote control, but I am not sure if that would fit your purposes. If you wanna get really hacking then a tabletop version (like the SC-155) has sliders for midi channels. I am guessing those are analog based, perfect for someone not afraid of a soldering iron.
Have you considered using a usb remote controller (like those sold for HTPCs and some VIVO type video cards)?. Those usually come with software that lets you customize the remote buttons to specific actions on your PC. If MIDI is what you are looking for the a program like VanBasco already has controls for tempo, volume and next/previous songs which could be mapped directly to buttons on the multimedia remote...
...or you could hook up your game pad directly to your PC via an USB adapter then use a program like Xpadder to map gamepad input to keyboard presses or mouse control. The Logitech RumblePad series come with controller mapping software which also works well.
