In the December 2009 issue of PC Gamer Magazine, there was an article on classic PC game soundtracks, including Sierra's sole mention: the lack of any official release from the King's Quest series.  This prompted the following letter to the editor in the Letters section of the January 2010 issue [ #196 / page 7 ]:

SIERRA SOUNDTRACKS ON TAP
Although it's true that the
soundtrack for Sierra's King's
Quest
games were never released
(Gamestock 2009, December
2009), you can legally down-
load MIDI files and MP3s from
almost all the Sierra classics,
including the King's Quest series,
at www.queststudios.com.

Nice work--what a find! Not
only are the soundtracks at Quest
Studios free and completely legal
to download, but Sierra Online
actually helped Tom Lewandowski
establish his site by providing him
with music from its archive.

Kristian wrote earlier this month and told me about the letter he sent, which is very much appreciated, indeed!  I haven't picked up a copy of PC Gamer since ... probably sometime in 2004 or 2005.  Smiley

It was nice to see a gaming magazine write an article about the music in games since visuals & graphics always get the lion's share of attention.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who saw the letter Smiley  Believe me, I was surprised when I saw it in print in the magazine!! I was happy they printed it as I also think this site and Tom deserves the attention of a broader audience Smiley
Hopefully more opportunities will arise for making even more people aware of this great treasure called QuestStudios!
