Hello,

My Setup:
Intel Mac Mini running OS X 10.6.3
logilink USB-Midi-Adaptor
Roland SC-55mkII

I am not able to run DOS games with GM soundtracks in Dosbox or ScummVM with proper music. I can play the GM-Files from QuestStudios very nicely on my setup, but in games the music is completely messed up. I got missing instruments, wrong instruments, unexpected volume changes. But not always. For example when I enter a new location in Police Quest 4 the music could be completely wrong, but there is a good chance that when I reenter the location the music will play flawlessly. This behavior I get in all games I tried in Dosbox and ScummVM.

But when I connect the same SC-55 and the same USB-Midi-Adaptor to my windows machine, everything runs perfect.

The USB-Adaptor did not come with its own drivers, it uses the standard midi-usb-driver of OS X.

My question is: Is here somebody with a similar setup? If the problem is rooted to the usb-device I will happily buy another one if I know for sure it will work.

Hi,

my setup is similar to yours.
I am using a macbook pro with an edirol um-2EX usb-to-midi adaptor

There are no problems with my sc55 or cm32l but one:
Whenever I quit ScummVM and restart it, I have to reset my sc55.
But I havenīt test it with the latest version of SVM.

In DosBox everything is just fine.
