Did anyone ever hurt their ears from listening to the Silpheed intro with earphones or speakers? I made that mistake many times. Specially when leaving quester midis in the background while working on the computer.

It's not just about listening at a safe volume level. The chord in question is purposely played so it will sound extraneously loud when listening at normal levels. I've removed the offending notes myself but I am curious if anyone feels the same way.

I wonder if the unpleasant chord was done on purpose as part of the composition, or if it is bad leftover garbage from the game that somehow is now considered part of that song. Why leave it in the quester version? Was authenticity more important than hearing safety?

More annoying - only MT-32 users got to hear it (and the little twinkle that goes with it!)
