Hi all,

First of all, thanks for your time and the opportunity to join in here.

I just got a MU2000EX, it wasn't expensive and it looks like new!

I have a SC55mkII and SC88 too.  I had a SC88Pro and XP50 fully loaded back there (sold them).

I read there is a Service Manual for MU2000EX, if so can someone kindly send me?

Since I got the unit without anything else, I'm looking for XG MIDI demos for this unit, looking at manual (PDF) they are:

Meanwhile, I decided to upload the 3 demos resident on unit:
http://www.msxforum.com.br/audio/Yamaha/

I used the optical output to record them, so you'll need a 24-bit audio card to hear them.

thanks for the yamaha demo's you recorded. especially the music factory wavefile. the mp3 version of this from the yamaha website is a bit distorted.

I am in the same situation as you are because I got my mu500 and nothing else. it seems yamaha japan has determined to keep the documentation of the higher MU xg modules a classified secret and only for the japanese market. yes I know that there is a japanese PDF manual but an english version would be helpful.

its just a matter of waiting I guess. sooner or later someone might post those demo's in this forum or maybe in the Internet.

Today I received my boards.

The sad news is due the paranoid because of "terror on everywhere" policy my diskettes got erased/formatted probably by some X-ray equipment (or similar) during inspections on mailer system.  Angry Roll Eyes Cry

DAMN IT!

Someone MUST have those demos somewhere around.

About the service manual is more about curiosity on the information, than the use of it, but yeah is always nice to have it too (even if 100% in japanese).

Where?!?

So far I got no demo files at all.  Looks like Yamaha MU series aren't popular like Roland are (for Roland is super easy to find the files for it).
