Those that love chiptune-style music, have you tried New Super Mario Bros. on WII or DS? I love the music! I would recommend checking out the Giana Sisters remake on the DS.

Yeah, was playing it a few months ago on DS. The music is very fun and good, I like the scat choirs.
Lot of nostalgia there too
Excited about 3D Land.

I usually don't do this but I would like to recommend this album from the artist "Rush Coil":
http://rushcoil.bandcamp.com/
"8-bit Christmas" features 12 popular christmas songs done in NES/Gameboy 8-bit chiptune style. What's cool about it is he based his remixes on popular NES games. For example, "Little Drummer Boy" sounds a lot like a tune from Blaster Master, "What Child is This" is actually "Greensleaves" but with a strong NES Metroid vibe, "Joy To The World" is done Konamy rock style, "O Christmas Tree" borrows from Megaman, etc. If you are familiar with your NES then this album is for you.
The whole album costs $3 USD and it is downloadable in all major formats. I think a few songs can be heard at the link. (I am not affiliated with the guy. I just really liked the music
)

I played the "New Super Mario Bros." on Wii way back when.. It was neat, and yes the music was pretty cool!
Super Mario 3D Land is pretty awesome!

That Rush Coil 8-Bit Christmas album is awesome! That was totally on the xmas playlist here!

Also, in the interest of "Chiptune-Style" music, here are
a couple remixes
you may or may not find as amusing as I did when I recorded them.
