Hi uh I've been looking at the mp3's this page had for a very long time but never joined and finally I joined to ask if you guys could put up the one song in QFG2 where you just got back form the genies wish and your invading Ad avis's castle. I love that song and I can't find it >.<

I believe I know the song you're referring to. . . at least, the point in the game, anyway.  The point just before you enter the fortress, while time is running out?

The complete QFG2 digital soundtrack will be posted in a few months...though you probably don't want to wait that long for the one song you're looking for.  As soon as AGD Interactive's VGA remake is released, the soundtrack will be as well.  Quite a few new songs have been added, as well as a lot of enhancements to Chris Brayman's original soundtrack.

Wait did you say they are re-making QFG2?  VGA version?

Hey, thanks for the link  Smiley

I guess I have been asleep at the wheel (the keyboard?) for the past 2 years.  I figured when they re-made 1, 2 would be soon to follow, and after a year or so figured no one was going to bother.  So this is good news, I'll be watching for it now.

QFG1 was never remade by AGD, since it was already remade in VGA by Sierra over a decade ago.

Right, and that makes sense.  In their FAQ section they mentioned that... why re-make a game that has already been re-made.  But yeah that's what I meant... I figured when Sierra never re-made 2, that it was a dead idea.  Glad to see that I was wrong.   Cheesy

The Coles said they had plans of remaking QFG2, but bad sales of the other remakes made them cancel it, or something.

If you're referring to the Simbani initiation ritual, NewRisingSun's timer fixes probably sort it out. If not, you can get past it in-game anyway..
Certainly that's a poor reason to remake it. You may as well request a QFG4 remake. Tongue

Nah QFG4 is good... tHey should Remake QFG5 J/K! I never heard of this timer fixer thing... that might work but I doubt it because the game would freeze not de-timed...

The Simbani sequence- keep trying it. Eventually you can get past it. It randomly shuts down your game. Trust me.

But we're getting off-topic, even for me. ;P

The timer fixes which Alistair referred to are available here.  You can also try playing through that section of the game using DosBox.

I used to use a Windows-based program called Turbo that would apparently slow the CPU down enough to get through the bugs in QFG 3 and QFG 4.  It was a Windows-based program along the lines of the DOS-based mo'slo.  It worked like a charm when I had reached impassable points in the games.

I'm glad to hear there are actually patches for them now!

I have to try this out, thanks for posting those links, Luke.  I never got around to passing the error 52 screen in QFG4 after my 486DX33 fried ages ago.  Tried a few slow-down programs before, didn't seem to help.

If you want Tom, I could send him that one track if you could tell me which one it is?

I don't believe it's on the CD; don't remember off-hand.  I'll have to check.  I know I've re-worked it for the upcoming QFG2 VGA release, but those songs are kind of in a vault at the moment, awaiting the game's release.

I assume you're referring to 'En Route to Ad Avis', Kuseph.. I know it's in the QS MIDI file. Why wouldn't it be on the CD?

Checking my resources, I see it's part of track 26 on the CD. Smiley
