That's something I usually leave for the listener to do, if they want.  When I create a complete soundtrack file, I always place all the required MIDI controller data in the first measure of each individual song so that the songs can be edited out and can stand on their own.  It allows users to simply edit out what they want and not have to worry that they'll mess up the MIDI data.

If you want to do that, there's several folks here with a SC or MT-32 that I'm sure would be happy to make an MP3 for you.  If you don't feel comfortable messing with the MIDI files and combining the songs you want, maybe someone else could do that for you, too.  But as I mentioned earlier, I don't typically work with or post such short pieces ... except in the case of a complete soundtrack MIDI file.

Would it be possible to get an ogg version of "The Dark Forest" from King's Quest 5?  I downloaded the MT-32 midi, but of course is sounds pretty funky with Windows XP and SB Live.  General midi actually sounds not too bad, but I see it's not available to download for this particular track.

Anyway, I noticed that although it has the themes from The Dark Forest, it doesn't have the part where you actually get up the witch's house.  The music changes at that part.  Not after you enter her house, but when you're out in front of it.

'The Dark Forest' is not converted by Tom for a simple reason. It wouldn't resemble the Dark Forest much at all! General MIDI has no frogs, no owls, no crickets, not much at all in fact (mostly orchestral-type instruments).. if I convert it for KQ5GM someday I'll give it a go, but it's quite a task.

The MT-32 MIDI would playback awfully on your Live! for the same reason.

But that said, there IS a MP3 on the web that's damned good:

http://www.markseibert.com/Sierra%20-%20The%20Dark%20Forest.mp3

It also includes 'The Witch', and 'Outside The Witch's House' (i.e., 3 parts).

Thanks, Mark!
