Unfortunately, ATM, those ftp links are not working.  But I will recheck them often, because I really want that software - it will greatly enhance my enjoyment of the GUS PnP.
This is my home ftp server. Unfortunatelly it is unaccessible in web brousers because requires "active" mode. I forgot to say that. Try to use full featured ftp clients like Total Commander, FAR and etc. As a last resort i can upload them to any of filehosting services like rapidshare.

BTW, do you know the maximum amount of RAM the GUS PnP uses for GUS classic compatibility mode?  Is it no more than 1mb, making it equal to the maximum amount of RAM possible on the GUS Classic itself?
Exactly. Only one megabyte. It is a shame that such big amount of ram reached with PnP cards completely useless in games. Sad

when you use the GUS PnP Pro in "GUS classic mode" for DOS games compatibility, does the sound card use its built-in 512k RAM to store and use the "GUS classic" patches?
Yes. It is benefit of Pro variant in comparison with regular PnP card. It have full Classic/Max compatibility right out of the box without adding extra ram.
Quote from: rpgs rock dvds
If you are running a DOS game using a windows 98 "dos box", will the sound card not take advantage of *any* of the extra added RAM banks?  If this is correct, will the GUS PnP Pro always sound inferior to a GUS Classic card with 1MB of RAM, when playing DOS games?
Yes. Until game not support Interwave directly it always sound right like GUS Classic/Max. "Big" PnP's memory can be used only in Interwave supporting games and apps (very few), or in General MIDI emulation (not sure if it works under Windows DOS box). But you always can replace original GUS patch set a.k.a "Ultrasound Compatible Patch Set" in PnP's interpretation by another one patch set like "Pro Pats" or "Pro Patches Lite".

Here you can get some GUS ISO's:

__ftp://78.153.157.21/iso/gravis_ultrasound[bin].rar__
Original installation CD for Classic/Max/Ace

__ftp://78.153.157.21/iso/gravis_ultrasound_pnp(1996)[iso].rar__
Same for PnP. Later re-issue (by 1996) with 4mb Patch Set on it.

__ftp://78.153.157.21/iso/utopia_soundbank__
Legendary Utopia Soundbank CD-ROM. Unfortunatelly not original, but re-assembled package with some ancient warez added. This "version" came from ex-USSR fido groups in later 90's. Even in such non-authentic look is very rare peace of software.

13  MUSIC & SOUND CARDS / Sound Blaster / Re: SB Waveblaster II - daughter card (2 MB) - any good ? on: September 19, 2008, 03:13:10 AM
Exactly! This is funny that i have both releases of WBII and both NIB: earlier card alone with two diskettes and later along with joystick in one big box and that CD with shareware games (heretic, warcraft I if i remember correctly). Can make that CD disk too if need.
14  MUSIC & SOUND CARDS / Sound Blaster / Re: SB Waveblaster II - daughter card (2 MB) - any good ? on: September 18, 2008, 01:11:35 PM

Amigaz, server is always on 24/7, based on Trendnet TS-I300W NAS device hooked to router with real ip.
Try to use ftp clients like FAR or Total Commander. It work now as always.
16  MUSIC & SOUND CARDS / Sound Blaster / Re: AWE64 Gold drivers on: September 16, 2008, 04:17:08 PM
I make now both variants - small ISO image and big BIN+CUE image with CD audiotracks. Will be available on my ftp when finished.
http://ftp://82.148.25.21/iso/
Doesn't work in passive mode (like browsers).

p.s. Done. These ISO and BIN+CUE not just different image formats, but different releases too. Both by 1997. ISO a bit earlier.
17  MUSIC & SOUND CARDS / Sound Blaster / Re: AWE64 Gold drivers on: September 16, 2008, 03:39:35 PM
Have all original supplied CD's for most my soundcards: AWE32, AWE64 Value, AWE64 Gold, AWE64 memory module, Gravis Ultrasound (Classic, MAX, ACE), Gravis Ultrasound PnP (AMD Interwave), etc.
18  MUSIC & SOUND CARDS / Miscellaneous MIDI & Sound Cards / Re: Creative Midi-Blaster on: September 14, 2008, 06:20:46 AM
In Germany only.
19  MUSIC & SOUND CARDS / Miscellaneous MIDI & Sound Cards / Re: GUS PnP 4mb midi samples set on: August 25, 2008, 04:30:41 PM
Yes, it is usable only in windows applications, dos applications with native Interwave support and GM emulation through IWSBOS/MEGAEM. Unfortunatelly Interwave banks not usable in GUS Classic/Max compatibility mode.
20  MUSIC & SOUND CARDS / Miscellaneous MIDI & Sound Cards / Damn Compaq's proprietary WB connector. on: April 30, 2008, 07:14:03 AM
Got a new daughterboard for my collection. Now one from Compaq based on ESS ES689F & ES982 A chips. Part number is "004824-001 A" And again dumb, unsubstantiated incompatibles in interfaces. Some brands love so much doing that things  Angry
Waveblaster connector on this boards lacks 20th pin. 20th "hole" just not drilled in plastic plug and WB header on soundcards hang back.
In first i won't destroy firm look of DB cards and i not sure about electrical compatibles. Maybe compaq's sound cards even have different electrical pinout for WB interface?
