After a long absence, I've returned - and with my nearly-new Roland XP-30 keyboard!
I can't wait to get composing again with the awesome onboard sounds. Time to dig up those Roland sound editors out there and maybe a couple of the other expansion boards still around. (Orchestral II would nicely compliment the Orch1 already onboard!)
I used to have both in one machine for years... but that was a SB16 and AWE32. There was a GUS utility that let you change all the GUS addresses, etc... can't remember much beyond that.
I'm jealous of your TL! I had the same 1000SX you're selling when I was a kid but I'd rather get a TL (1/2/3) which was the upgrade I wanted but never got!
I know the SID was only 3 voices, but the sounds it was capable of producing often just SOUNDED BETTER than many Adlib songs I listened to a few years later.
Just raw appeal...
Imagine if Commodore had put a pair of them in for stereo right from the get-go!
It's FINALLY finished?? I was part of the team ~5-6 years ago when they got started but couldn't get any direction and couldn't tell me what kind of music they actually wanted!
Just as well... I haven't written much in a long time...
