I recently got a call from a girl who was trying to make Day of the Tentacle run on Windows XP.

I hadn't played it for some ten years, but I figured it wasn't going to be too difficult to make it run under XP. Well, it did run, but not very well. With VDMsound it worked slightly better, but not perfectly.

That's when I discovered ScummVM - a complete run-time environment for LucasArts games. With ScummVM everything worked like a charm, and I could run DOTT like any native Windows application without concern for sound card problems. So now I even feel like "going back to the mansion" myself.

Perhaps this is old news to all of you, but I have to say it - ScummVM is pure genius!

Yeah, ScummVM is cool, I wish the Pocket PC version was better maintained though.  It's great playing Sam & Max whenever your bored.
