Is anyone planning on creating any digitally available soundtracks any time soon?
There are a few that come to mind:
- Larry 5
- Spacequest 5 and/or 6
- Police quest 3
- Quest for glory 2

Most of these are soundtracks that require some mixing of both MT-32 and Soundcanvas in order to get the optimal result.
I haven't got the hardware to do the job nor the talent

Anybody up for it?

I don't do MT-32/Sound Canvas mixes, only MIDI soundtracks and the occasional GS or XG conversion.

Alistair does, so he might be up for the task.
Also, a SQ5 digital soundtrack was made by Tom, so it exists. I have it on CD, so I could convert it to MP3/OGG.
I'll have a word with Tom about that.

Some of these were released by Tom as limited edition CDs...

Go for it!  Larry 5 and Space Quest 5 are all ready to go, if you have the CD's I made.

I've only got SQ5, so I'll post that one when I get the chance.

/me 'grrs'

I just had a mammoth reply, but when I used my 'scroll' button with my optical mouse it went back to the thread page. Damn and blast. Tongue

Okay. Simple version of my original post coming up.

LSL5/SQ5/QFG2 were all QS Soundtrack CD's.
SQ6 is available on: http://www.spacequest.net/sq6/soundtrack

PQ3 I will not be doing yet as there's not enough good music, mainly atmospheric/'mood' pieces. Though some will be available on my assorted CD's.

SMC soundtrack projects currently underway:

- SMC Sierra Music Volume #1
- SMC Sierra Music Volume #2
- Laura Bow Soundtrack CD (double)- both    Colonel's Bequest/Dagger of Amon Ra!
- King's Quest VII Soundtrack CD (double)
And also Kyrandia 1 soundtrack CD for Frank Klepacki, on a side note. But that's not Sierra. (Ask me separately if you want to know more about this one.)

This year I also hope to have a PQ1/2 soundtrack CD (single), GK1 (single), and SQ5/6 (double) completed, as well as a couple others. But the ones listed above have priority, and are likely to be done soonest. I finished a Laura Bow II MT-32 MIDI soundtrack (for this site) this week, and have begun converting it to GS already- I haven't forgotten you Sound Canvas users! Besides, it translates nicely.

Regards!

I completely forgot that Larry 5 and SQ5/6 cd's were already created by Tom.
It would be really cool if those could be posted.

I'm just thinking, were there any others I'm forgetting? There is no list that contains the ones that were created, is there?

Thanks,
Ivar

There is actually, well, sorta: http://www.queststudios.com/quest/Sierra1.html

At the end of the page there's a list of soundtrack CDs.

Well, as my original post would've stated, Tom never finished SQ6, as like all of us, time is an unrelenting constraint.

Here's a nice old topic from Tom about soundtrack CD's. Check it out.   (Though, was I ever a pain in the ass. Eek. Ignore my know-nothing posts, dark times. ;P)http://www.queststudios.com/qsmb/Forum10/HTML/000268.html

If you're lazy:
- Leisure Suit Larry 1
- Leisure Suit Larry 2
- Leisure Suit Larry 3
- Leisure Suit Larry 5
- Leisure Suit Larry 6
- Sierra Soundtracks Volume 1
- Sierra Soundtracks Volume 2
- Sierra Soundtracks Volume 3
- King's Quest 6 (double CD)
- Quest For Glory 2
- Quest For Glory 4 (double CD)
- Inca 1/2
- Soace Quest 3
- Space Quest 4
- Space Quest 5
- Space Quest 6
- Eco Quest 1

And a note Ari/Frank/Tom: Any chance of the old page with all the pictures and track lists for the soundtrack CD's being available? I for one'd love to see it.

Ah, what fun it is to go back and read topics from 2 years ago... (I wasn't being cynical)

As per your question, I'll look for the page and see what I can do.

Thanks Ari, I'd genuinely appreciate it. First time I came to this site, it's one of my 'QuestStudios memories'. And the pages would be a great resource for me.

Alistair: Wow, I didn't know you were so busy; good luck on the soundtracks!

Everyone: Very nice, guys! Looks like everything has picked up speed lately...and may it be so for a long time to come.

Thanks,
Jan

Hey, some old thread revival time.

I don't suppose those 'old soundtrack CD pages' could be uploaded sometime, as I asked earlier this year?

Ooh, the sarcasm is still there. Lovin' it..

But I only asked as Ari said he'd look into it. Smiley
Well, I can't wait for more to be posted..
