A new King's Quest VI remix, "Isle of Wonder": http://vgmix.com/song_view.php?song_id=2236

Also, if you never saw it before, there was a King's Quest V remix I mentioned a long time ago; that was here:

NICE! I really like those remixes, and it's a shame people don't do more Sierra remixes.
It doesn't really fit the scene, but who cares anyway...

Finally listened to this fully. And can safely say.. I really dislike it. Waaayyy over the top, and as Ari said, doesn't fit the scene. For me, 'remixes' aren't a replacement, but a special sort of enhancement that brings out qualities (potential) of the track not totally utilised in the original. This sure as hell doesn't do that. Was actually boring to listen to for me. I know Ari's a rock lobster, though, so he's into that sort of thing. Wink

I like the KQ5 remix.

WOW there's a ton of stuff in here.  I think I'll have a look around, see if I can find anything else I know.  It says they have 1233 remixes.   Shocked

Yes, I was going to mention the KQ5 remix. I really like that one. A good example of bringing out the "inner flavour" of a track.

I spent some time looking around, there are remixes from a whole bunch of games, some of which I've never heard of.  One game I remember playing on SNES is Donkey Kong Country.  I always liked the music from the final showdown with the big boss, although I'm not really into dance music.

Here's a remix of that, but with metal guitars added in, and with heavy drums that have thundering double-bass.  I'm a metal drummer, and so this is the kind of drumming I like.  The "dance" style melody has been changed a bit so it almost sounds like synth guitars.  They have an Iron Maiden sound to them.  Anyway, I really liked it.   Smiley
