Yes, do...I've never heard the Apple theme.  I'm very familiar with the 9-note fanfare of the original release; I used it when I did my old 'Quests Of The King' arrangement.

Heh. if you recall, Tom, you've got a highquality version of Greensleeves.

Coudl you post that again? I don't seem to have it (left it behind in America).

Yeah, I will...but not until after I update it a bit.  Greensleeves was part of that "Quests Of The King" song I did, which was one of my first attempts with sequencing in MIDI...and it shows.  The "Greensleeves" portion of the song was later resurected for use in the KQ2VGA Introduction, and it's a much better arrangement than the first one I did.  I still have the original MIDI file (MT-32 file), so I'll do some updating and maybe make the song sound a little more respectable.

Anyway, the soundtrack is uploaded. Enjoy.

Haradan --

Thank you for the KQ4 files.  They are terrific!   Cheesy

However, on Track 47 ("Finale") from 3:42-3:48, there seems to be some feedback or interference.  I tested on speakers and headphones, so I think it's in the MP3 file itself.  I analyzed the waveforms with GoldWave, and there is definitely something funky going on...

Perhaps an error while MP3 encoding?  I know I get random errors like that sometimes...

Anyway, just wanted to let you know.  Thanks again, and looking forward to more of your recordings!

I decided to re-record the "Quests Of The King" MIDI and post an Ogg of the original MT-32 version.  It's going to be a couple of months until I can re-arrange the song to my liking and improve on the limitations of the sequencing job I did back then.  Besides, it's kind of an anniversary for the song -- it was December 30, 1989 when I original created the MIDI....seventeen years ago!  This song was actually originally created for the AdLib Music Synthesizer Card!

Hey, I like the recording you've got with MT-32/SC-55. Smiley

Would be nice to hear it all jazzed up of course!

I think what most people are requesting, myself included, is the Greensleeves KQ1AGI track though, the one you sent me for my wedding. If nothing else, I'd appreciate it if you linked me in a PM Smiley

Regards,

Thanks for pointing it out, I checked it already and yes, there's definitely some ugly noise there, I'll look for my original files to see if I can recode it or re-record it.

I'm glad you liked the files, though. While not the greatest soundtrack, it stirs up a lot of good memories for me.

OK, I've been trying to re-record the Finale track but the noise comes everytime at exactly the same spot. I plugged my earphones directly into my CM32L and the noise is right there. So it's not a recording problem. I tried playing the track from the game itself and also using the MIDI file from Queststudios and there's no use, the noise won't go. Now, I don't know much about the CM32L specs or anything, but I suspect the problem might be too many partials in the original track at that particular spot so the module can't handle it or something like that. I know it's not a volume problem, so it must be something within the track itself. Could anybody point me to how to solve this? Any ideas?

The file is here, and the problem is between 3:45 and 3:48
