Dare I ask, is the QFG2VGA soundtrack near completion?  I know some works are never fully complete... but I mean the release version for the game.  I'm really looking forward to it.   Smiley

Actually, the QFG2 VGA soundtrack was completed nearly a year ago.  (Some time last fall.)  However, I can't post it until the game is released...which I'm anxiously awaiting, too.  I know it's in the last phase before alpha testing begins, so it shouldn't be much longer.

Very good to hear!  I know most people are still in the dark on what stage the game is in, so I'll keep this under my hat.

Just wondering, Tom... Were you approached by Infamous Adventures to write the soundtrack of their forthcoming King's Quest 3 VGA remake?

To tell you the truth, I don't remember.  I've been asked to do a few Sierra remake soundtracks by different people, and I've declined.  They haven't been sanctioned by Vivendi Universal Games, Inc., and I didn't want to be part of a future lawsuit. Smiley

Hey Tom, did you move this post?  It was actually a reply to one of your posts in another section.

I dont remember if i did tell you Tom, your KQ2 music was just incredible... I don't know how you managed to 'catch the spirit'... it was like finding old unused drafts from Sierra and reviving them.. it was like something 'here, hear something you should have heard 10 years earlier, but you didn't'

my favouites were those two about the beach and the island of crystal tower, although quite non-sierra, but closer to my own personal taste (I loved the Dig music)

Ghost_Rider -- yeah, I split some topics and did some moving.  This was one of them.  Confusing, I know.  Have to keep you guys on your toes; make sure you're paying attention.  Smiley

Rakeesh -- Thank you!  I really appreaciate your comments.  It was definitely my primary goal to make the music 'fit in' with the rest of the KQ genre.  A man after my own tastes, too -- the island songs were my favorites, too.  Actually, from the island to the end of the game is what I enjoyed working on the most; the wedding at the Count's castle, and the confrontation that pursues afterward.

Hi, I'm Broomie from Infamous Adventures. To answer your question we did not ask Tom as we know he is a very busy person and is already affiliated with AGDInterative's work.

Although Tom is an amazing musician, we already had a musician from the start. You can listen to apart of the intro be viewing the teaser trailer we released a few weeks ago.

We also let Tom have a listen to some of our other music pieces. And we were happy to know he was impressed.  Cheesy

It's definitely a very nice soundtrack and a job well done!  I'm looking forward to hearing all of it.

Hi Broomie,

Wow! Would you believe I was just about to post a link for your teaser? This is great stuff you and your team have been working on, definitely on par with AGDI's remakes. I can hardly wait for the final product :)
