I sometimes like to use several reverb changes within one song. Unfortunately, this causes an annoying "booming" sound, especially when switching from TapDelay to another mode, both on the CM-32L and the MT-32. Are there any tricks known on how to avoid this?
Though I have rarely used TapDelay for anything, the way I switch from one effect to another, especially a reverb effect, is by a psuedo crossfade. Ease out of one to the other, by gradually reducing its effect over a given time (a measure, a few beats...or whatever works best.) Then, introduce the other effect in the same manner as the other faded...either quickly, or slowly. Just not too abruptly. I've only used the SC-8820 reverb effects in composing; never the MT-32's or CM-500's, so I don't know how that would differ.
