It seems that the status of Sam and Max has finally been resolved.

They're back! So I'm guessing this is... good news right?

Excellent news indeed. The "episodic format" is an interesting idea (though I haven't played "Bone") and I trust Telltale know what they're doing. The shock and anger that accompanied the cancellation of Freelance Police is enough to prove that fans want Sam and Max to return; I only hope the developers will take their time to make the end product as close to perfection as possible.

This is great. Now if they could just get Full Throttle 2 rolling again I'd be really impressed.

LucasArts themselves admitted Full Throttle 2 wasn't a game the fans were expecting; it was cancelled not because of the "state of the adventure genre" (though that was probably a factor as well), but because the creators themselves were unimpressed by what they were developing. Freelance Police, on the other hand, looked to be a game which would both impress loyal adventure gamers and attract new buyers. Perhaps we should be grateful FT2 was never released; on the other hand, we will never know what it was really like, as all we have are some short promotional videos, artwork and outdated screenshots.

HIP, HIP.....HOORAY!!  This is good news, indeed.  I was really hoping someone would get the rights to Sam & Max as they original game was a hoot.

Heck, I was so bummed when the sequel from LucasArts got canned, I wrote a letter to PC Gamer mag when they asked for games people wish would still be resurrected.  Even better, the letter got published!!
