A poll for deciding which soundtrack will be converted

Hi to everybody,

After talking about this with Tom, and considering I haven't yet decided which soundtrack to convert the next to my Fantom XR, I'll place a poll in which everyone will be able to vote between 10 candidates, and I'll convert the most voted soundtrack.

There's a previous problem, though: I don't know what 10 entries to put in the poll! I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Quest for Glory IV, or Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers would be great.

No, neither of those. :X Poor candidates, even though they're 2 of my favourite scores.. Still, I guess I'd want to hear how the XR made them sound.

Something like.. KQ6 would be good. 'Cause it has nice realistic instruments, which is where the XR really shines. Or KQ7 (except I haven't finished that complete soundtrack yet ), or Space Quest 5 as Ari said.

I was just thinking about this earlier today. I'd be interested to see how Camelot, King's Quest 5, Space Quest 5, and Space Quest 4 would sound.

As I said before, SQ5 would be great IMO. I also would like to hear some Betrayal at Krondor themes.

Space Quest 4 sounds good enough on the MT-32, and has no pretenses of sounding real, though I would like to hear an XR conversion of my own GS conversion of the SQ4 finale.  :wink:

Well, up to now there are 7 proposed titles: Quest for Glory IV, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers; King's Quest V; King's Quest VI; Space Quest IV; Space Quest V; and Betrayal at Krondor.

Come on, 3 more titles and the poll will start...

Well, I've been looking around for midi files and complete soundtracks, and it seems that nearly all soundtracks could be converted, but some of them would be difficult.

For example, Laura Bow 2 soundtrack doesn't appear neither at complete midi soundtracks nor at game midi files. I haven't got this game either, so I simply couldn't make this conversion.

Regarding Heart of China, there are only 7 songs in QS, and I also haven't this game (sorry, I know that it's a great title  :oops: )

But I think that any of the other titles could be converted: 1) QFG IV, 2) GK1, 3) KQ V, 4) KQ 6, 5) SQ IV, 6) SQ 5, 7) BK, and PQ1 VGA.

So, any more 2 suggestions?

The Dagger of Amon Ra (alternate title is Laura Bow 2) complete MIDI soundtrack is available in MT-32 and GM format.  

Heart of China can be freely downloaded from Home of the Underdogs. Another title that comes to mind is Codename: Iceman.

My apologies for my ignorance  :oops:  Ijust didn't know that the game than Fancia was referring to was Dagger of Amon Ra.

So there's no problem for that conversion, as well as Codename:Iceman. So, we have all the 10 candidates. Let's the poll begin

I'd love to hear Kings Quest 6 if you can do it.  I think it'd be awesome sounding on a Fantom .
