First the good stuff, if you'd like me to take a closeup or a more detailed pic, just lemme know.

Big box... hmm.. I likes me a big box with plenty of peanuts!

Oh my, the seller even bubble wrapped the box!

WooT!

WooT! x 2 (Notice the SCD-15 at the bottom)

Front of the SCB-55

And the back (I had never seen a pic of a back of a daughterboard before I got my own, boring pic, but I thought I'd share)

Glorious documentation and setup disks!

Okay, now that's over with... how the heck do I get it working?

I'm running a dual boot MS-DOS6.22/WFW3.11 and Win98se puter with a CT1740 SB16 (DSP v 4.05)

The SB16 has it's MSEL jumper @ 330 and the IRQ Jumper @ 5.

Per what I've heard around I didn't install any drivers for the SCB-55 (well, I did try to install a MPU-401 win driver, but then uninstalled it)

I gave up with Win3.11 and am trying to focus on getting it to work in Win98se for now.

Win98se sees the SB16 @ 330 irq 5

Went to Multimedia Properites and under the MIDI tab I selected "Single instrument SB16 MIDI Out (330)"

I then went ito the Devices Tab and under "MIDI Devices and Instruments" I disabled MIDI for Createive Stereo Music Synth" but ENABLED   "MIDI for External MIDI Port"

Go to play the allstars test .Mid in windows media player and I get nothing but silence Sad

So.. guess I have a few questions:

1) I am doing the right thing so far right?
2) What does the SB16 need to be set at?
3) I don't have to set up anything on the SCB-55 right?
4) I guess I need to update my SB16 drivers? (I belive I just used whatever auto-installed when I installed Win98se)

Can anyone give me some pointers or walkthrus with links to driver files if I need em?

Thanks in advance
