Seriously.. guys can you stop posting auctions like this? I'm not sure what you intend to happen.. but what will actually happen is the seller will get a nice fat profit and nobody will get a bargain (I've already got a DB50XG, so I don't care about this one). The whole reason why the item might go cheaply is it's obscurity (listing in a wrong section of ebay, no photo, etc).. so posting a direct link is really not smart.

Either PM someone you know who wants one with the link, buy it yourself and sell it cheaply or post a "who wants an auction link for a cheap DB50XG" post, then PM the one most worthy with the link .. don't just post the auction link blindly.

That is a better price than what I paid for mine, but I got mine new and with the manual and software CD. However, posting auctions like these at least gives us the opportunity to grab these rare devices, who appreciate there unique capabilities, instead of some reseller who will relist it at a high markup.

I've always wanted an XG daughterboard/sound card/module (heck, same goes for Roland - I don't own a single piece of Roland equipment!), but being a student really lacks in certain areas  Sad

I don't know anyone, specifically, who wants one. I guess I could just PM everybody. Smiley I guess that I assume that the board has a certain ettiquite, and once someone says, "I'm going to bid on this," that no one else is going to jump in and start messing with the person who first stated an intention to buy. I know that that's how I do things when it comes to these auction links.

Trust me, it will not end for anything like the starting price.. now (though it wasn't actually that well hidden anyway).

These pages are indexed in google.. posting here basically it advertises it to the world and not just our lovely little community.

Also, many of us (being the savvy bargain hunters that we are) have already found such auctions and are currently already watching these.

Seeing an auction I've been watching that has possibly slipped under the radar pop up here or on some other message board really ruins my day (that is, when it is an item I am after).

And nope, there is no ettiquette on ebay.. it's just one huge global pack of wolves, all preying on one another.

For once, I agree with Kreatorb.
I doubt anyone here will decide not to bid on an auction just because someone else already did.

Huh... it went for 25 bucks with 1 bid. Although I have one, my pack-rattish instincts told me that I should have kept a better eye on it. Wink

Sadly, the seller doesn't ship to the middle east or I would have tried for it.
25$ is extremely cheap!

I have no objections to board members posting links to Ebay items.  In the past, members here have been pretty democratic in their willingness to let another member bid without interfering or bidding against them.  I look at it as a way to help other QS members obtain.  Some of our members have given priority to members here on items they are (or will be) selling on Ebay.  I don't see how the seller will necessarily make any more profit just because the item has been linked in this forum.  It's not that popular a place.

Anyway, if someone's looking for a specific item, they simply do a search on Ebay to find it....
