I was wondering how you can determine the actual
serial number of a MT-32 module.

It's not written on the back of the module and I even
opened it up to have a look at the PCB itself.
At first glance there's no direct mention of a SN on the PCB.

Can any of you guys shed some light on this ?

Thanks

Mine is on the bottom near the rear right foot (right if it were upright and you were facing the front of the unit). There is a silver label (I mean, if it's there, you'll see it) that says Model. MT-32 Ser. No. XXXXXX. It's stuck on there pretty good; I just picked at it a little and it seems like it would take some effort to get it off.

Well, mine no longer seem to have the silver label on it ...

On closer inspection it would seem that there has been one
on there in the past, as it has left a small outline.

Anyways it's gone now ...

Anyone know of any other means to get the SN ?

Thanks

Just curious, what do you need the serial number for? If you want to verify the ROM version, hold down part 4 + Rythm + master volume and power it up while holding those three buttons and you'll get a verson number.

If it's for warranty work; I would guess that you're out of the coverage period Wink

Thanks for the info !

No, no, no. Repair is not required (let's hope it stays that way).
This is just me being curious ...

Well apparently I seem to have ROM version 1.07 on my MT-32.

Can the version of the MT-32 (0, 1 or 2) be determined from the ROM version then ?
