Looks like what I really need is another one of these bad boys.  Mainly the ISA card.  The breakout box pops up on eBay from time to time but the ISA card is fairly hard to come by.  If anybody has them both, though, I'll gladly pay good money for them.

Yep, I've pretty much determined conslusively that I must have another of these units or all my dreams of retro gaming will turn to ash!

You don't want that to happen do you?

Help a guy out!

 Grin

EDIT:

While Christmas shopping today, I toured the various local electronics stores and even hit the Computer Recycling Center.  No luck.  These things are damned hard to come by.

The most maddening thing about this search so far is I keep seeing MPUs come up for auction on the Japanese Yahoo Auctions site, but non of the vendors will ship internationally!

Oh, the humanity!!!!

You seem pretty desperate... Tongue

Well, if you are that desperate, I do have two unused MPU-IPC-T's and one MPU-401AT lying around, although I might install them in the future. Roll Eyes
Guess I would be willing to part from one of the IPC-T's, but because I live in Holland shipping cost probably won't be very cheap.
I remember paying about 10 euro when I shipped the PAS to Cloudschatze, guess the IPC would cost about the same amount to ship as well.

If you're interested, don't hesitate to send me a PM.  Wink

Oh, I'm desperate alright!  I've been working on these projects off and on for almost a year now and to be so close to acheiving my goal yet being foiled by a single piece of hardware ... it's enough to drive a man insane!   Huh

I'll PM ya.  I hope we can work something out.  Either way, I very much appreciate the consideration.

rinkYa will handle the shipping portion of the auction.  If there are MPU units on Yahoo Japan, use them.

That's easy for you to say.  I don't speak Japanese, though.  Trying to coordinate with a person who doesn't speak my language and then a second person (whom I'm not acquainted with) for shipping is not a scenario that appeals to me.

While beggars can't be choosers, Lennart seems willing to part with one of his MPU-IPC-T units for a fair price AND he apparently speaks English!  Unless he changes his mind, dealing with him on this is probably the better way to go for me.

Well, looks like this is a done deal.  Lennart has sold me the unit and plans to ship it shortly.

Thanks for your kindness, Lennart!

The unit has just been shipped off today. I hope you'll make more use of it than I did. Enjoy!
