Aww, you guys.

All the best at this time from my wife and I, to everyone at QuestStudios, and to Ari and Tom for making QuestStudios work so well in 2006, may you continue to do so in 2007 and for many more years beyond.

Thanks also to the numerous moderation staff here at QuestStudios- although you don't do anything, hell, most don't even visit, I.. oh, wait.

Seriously though, the mods that DO visit- Marten, Caliburn, etc- you guys are great too, and definitely one of the reasons I've stuck around this place. Intelligent, friendly, etc.

Although this forum has never had a huge number of regulars, the discussion's usually pretty good- and this place has been around for a LONG time, too. That's a pretty big rap when most Sierra-related forums go under in a matter of years. Kudos guys.

I think he's saying we're a small, tight-knit, friendly group of people Smiley  And that's a good thing.  When you get too many people on a forum it just becomes unpleasant.  (uh.... World of Warcraft forums, anyone?)

Very Happy Holidays everyone!

Oh.  I see.  I guess I missed that when trying to read between the lines.  Thanks for clearing it up, though.   Grin

Haha, I think Alistair's comment was highly amusing. Heck, when we switched over from the old-old bulletinboard software to phpBB, several moderators couldn't even remember what forums they were moderating! I think that speaks volumes Cheesy

Happy winter solstice to everyone.

Actually, I found it rather insulting; both Dianne and I didn't appreciate it.  Whether or not it's true is beside the point.  I started this thread simply to post a sincere wish and greeting from Dianne and I, in which we find no need to follow it up with a negative remark.

Tom, you know how Alistair is. He can't post a comment without some sort of criticism, even if it's just to be funny. I wouldn't make too much of it.  Wink

I don't know, Laust, even if you held a gun to my head at this moment, I don't think I'd be able to remember which forums I moderate...  Tongue

Again, Happy holidays!!  Smiley

It's not like the forum is needing much action from the mods. Most people here are naturally well-behaved and self-moderating. Plus, the admins are professional, enthusiastic and dedicated to the MIDI cause.

Merry Christmas and best wishes from this side of the Pond Cheesy

Yeah...I know.  I'm not dwelling on it; I did find it a very typical response from him.  Nonetheless, not an appropriate response for this thread. I actually do find the content of the post humorous, and I would have taken it as such had it not been in response to this particular post from Dianne and I.  Smiley

I guess I'm late to the "Season Greetings" party. Well, that seems to be the theme of my life these days.

Happy Holidays, and may 2007 be a great year!

Wow, that's pretty harsh- not that I expect any less, pretty typical responses from certain people as well.

But let's not detract from the theme of Christmas and holidays, and post comments, like the one I supposedly made that aren't about the holidays. That'd be inappropriate, and hypocritical, even.

All that sarcasm aside, really, I wish everyone a great 2007, including the site of QuestStudios itself. I'm going to look the other way at remarks aimed at me, as usual, and keep on trying to repair the bridges damaged in the past and work on myself and my site, too.
