Hey guys,

Today, I had a chance to work with my friend's Yamaha PSR keyboard for real-time entry of music, and I've been running into problems: latency.  Whenever I record, my keystrokes are delayed by like a second, and it's really annoying.  Any ideas as to what's causing this?  I'm using a Yamaha USB MIDI adapter, and I'd be pretty disappointed to find out that it's the culprit.  Also, whenever I hit the keystrokes, the sound output from my MT-32 is instant - only Cubase seems to be screwing it up...  I really hope that Cubase isn't the culprit, either - as it's wonderfully easy to use.  Sad

There shouldn't (can't) be any latency while sequencing, or you'd never be able to time anything properly.  Can you try a different interface?   I've only heard of this happening with software synths...not hardware synths.  I don't know enough about Cubase to know if you've got something setup in a delayed fashion or not.

I'm guessing that it's a Cubase thing, because when I strike a key with the keyboard it instantly sounds on my module.  Only when I'm recording MIDI data is it delayed...
