just received a sc-8850 from my brother in the U.S. I just like to confirm whether all sc-8850 are autovolt(automatically detects and adjust to the power source voltage).Since in the U.S. they use 117V and here in Macau we use 220V. From a review in Harmony Central, they say that it is autovolt.I`m not quite sure that`s why I need some advice so that I will not damage this machine. At the back of my machine is 117V.Before I also have a sc-88 and 117V, I open and just transfer some wire from the adaptor inside and I change it to 220v.But inside the sc-8850 is different and I `m hesitant to try that`s why I hope somebody could give me some good advice and info on this.I will appreciate it very much. Thanks in advance.

Hey man,

Macau eh? Awesome Smiley

I live in Australia, and I use a stepdown transformer to convert the US voltage to Australian voltage. It works fine and doesn't get hot.

Every appliance should have a sticker that says what voltage is required.
If the sticker has something like 100-250v or something you're OK.

If not, I guess you need to buy a step-down transformer, they arent expensive.
Be sure to get one rated high enough (watts) and give it a little headroom.
