This is how they celebrate the fourth of july:

Tomorrow Today, be sure to keep all of your old computers away from all rural areas, especially Kentucky!

Happy 4th of july to all of you yanks here!  Grin

I didn't watch the whole video... did they burn things at the end?

Are they aware that computers are full of toxins?

Nah, they just blow them up and shoot holes through them.  Roll Eyes

Yeah, the toxins are pretty bad, especially the flame-retarding bromides, how ironic.  Tongue

I agree, but what can you say, they're hicks by the look of them so...
They wouldn't know what a mt-32 is if we'd hit them over the head with it.

Funniest thing for me was:

(1) Calling out the specific make and model -- "IBM 350-P133" -- prior to blowin' up -- as if that matters.   Roll Eyes

and

(2) the obligatory "safety warning" at the end of the video clip...  Tongue

I feel sorry for anyone hiking in the woods. From the video, it looks like there is no way they can possibly see what (or who) is behind the trees. Red necks!

It's a shame how much old computer gear is wasted, "recycled" in China or needlessly destroyed.

I'll never ever undertand that policy about fire weapons. Using guns and rifles just for fun just seems crazy to me, but I suppose it's not so strange when getting a weapon is so easy.  Sad

I suppose you've never played a game like Doom or Half-Life.
I can understand how blowing up things might be considered fun, and I don't consider myself a very violent person.

It's not such a bad way to discharge some aggression. I can think of worse things they could do, like hunt possum for fun...

I've played Doom (not Half-Life, though), but I didn't have the impression that those people were playing a videogame (weapons seemed real ones, at least).

Considering how dangerous are fire weapons, I'd prefer that when people wanted to discharge agression, they played a videogame instead of firing real ammo. Although there're better ways of discharging agression, such as this one: http://www.diariodenavarra.es/actualidad/noticia.asp?not=2007070316485716&dia=20070703&seccion=culturaysociedad . A curious way of making reforms in a hotel Wink
