Oh, I'm not to bad at sniping, I just didn't want to pay more, I could've had it easy, but I had to pay more.

Yep, this time it was my wallet that will go lighter after I've sent some schweizer franc's to the seller  Tongue

My CM32L will soon be up for sale....
I knew it had to be a quester.  Wink

CM32L? Not interested, I already have a CM64. Wink

I don't plan to sell anything I own. I'm worried it'll go to someone who will not actually use it for gaming or composing/listening to music and keep it for collecting purposes only Sad

Although saying that, I'm tempted to sell my lowest revision D-110 to the second hand shop we have in town to save some room Smiley

I bid on that LAPC-I, but it got way too expensive for me.  If that is what they are going for, I will never get one.   Cry

I'll now settle for a nice used CM-32L if they don't get that high either.

Unfortunately, even the MT-32's are getting pricey (I got mine for £37 two years ago).

It's even more rare to get an MT-32 with the right serial number though.  I play games mostly through DOSBox so getting one without the buffer problem is important.

Hmm, I just purchased mine off ebay: item #290268701072
I didn't see any headphone jack on this. I'm guessing this is the first revision type. Would it be possible to mod the MT-32 to the 2nd or 3rd generation model or is this going to "Buffout" on me? To make a bad pun on Fallout.  Tongue

Here's my current DOS machine setup-
Dell Optiplex Gs, Pentium I
32MB SDRAM
2 Gig IDE boot drive, 40 Gig EIDE storage drive for retro games
Windows 98, probably all current updates
(DOS 7.1 upgraded to this)
NVidia PCI 32MB GeForce 2
full-length Sound Blaster AWE32 with 16MB RAM on the card
one spare SB-16, currently not installed
2 empty ISA slots, probably 1 or 2 more empty PCI slots
cheap OEM Dell CD-Rom drive
noisy IBM PS/2 keyboard with retro curled cable
nauseatingly beige/off white case
Ball mouse
Beer

That's going to head towards $500 easily. I don't recall seeing an LAPC-I coming with the breakout box and MIDI keyboard together, not to mention the condition they're in! Shocked

I never knew it came packaged with a Keyboard Controller.  Roland does not have a manual for the keyboard on its site, but it should be self-explanatory.  What software would have come with it?  This package probably set the user back a whole grand in the day, so whoever wins is still getting it cheap at $500.

Unbelievable.. And then to know that thru a "buy now" another LAPC-I (though not boxed and not with all the other stuff) went for just 50 or 60 US dollars one or two days before this...

Playing the sierra games space / police quest, larry, etc was always good fun in my opinion, especially with good sound.
Since i'm not using my retro pc anymore i've decided to not let this card get to waste.

So for whoemever is interested in a LAPC-1. There is a LAPC-I available via a (Dutch) marketplace site at the moment.
People can respond and bid until tuesday.

The link : http://link.marktplaats.nl/276299389

Kind regards,
Herman.
